The Best of PCWorld

As a male of the species, I generally refuse to ask for directions. Yes, I know this sounds like a dumb stereotype. But in my case, it's a completely accurate one. It's a case of "don't ask, don't tell," without the don't-tell part. On one hand, the idea of pulling over and inquiring of a stranger just seems...well...wrong. But on the other, I have no trouble consulting my GPS--on my phone, in a car, or wherever--even for confirming a route I believe I already know. Given how stubborn I am about accepting human directions, I am pleased by all the advances coming to the next generation of GPS. Our own Liane Casavoy has rounded up a collection of great GPS gizmos, including a device that will create a digital breadcrumb trail for finding your way back to a destination, Hansel and Gretel style. Take a look at what Liane has for us, and happy travels to you all.
