As long as it's been around, technology has been turning everyone into a bunch of fraidy-cats. Run for your lives, it's the Y2K bug! Don't let the government spy on you via RFID chips! Don't open that photo of Anna Kournikova, it's a virus! Sometimes all the hand-wringing is with good cause (such as the Mydoom worm), and sometimes the threat doesn't live up to the hype (Y2K, for example). In any case, we've rounded up the 10 biggest tech scares of all time and explained how they panned out. Don't be scared, just read it.
