Talk Nerdy to Me
The Space Shuttle is being retired after 30 years of heroic service, which means NASA's looking for a new car. Our very own David Daw has taken the opportunity to throw on a sportscoat, slick back his hair, and play the role of used-spacecraft salesman. Step on up and kick the tires on 10 possible replacements for the space shuttle, ranging from old-fashioned rockets to futuristic-looking spacemobiles from the U.S. Air Force and the Virgin Group. Daw won't let you leave the lot without one.
