Like a lot of you, I spend my entire working day (and a healthy slice of my nonworking hours) inside Windows 7, and I'm always on the lookout for new OS shortcuts. So I was delighted to discover a great new timesaver in Loyd Case's article "Windows Tips and Tricks: Master the Taskbar and Start Menu." Turns out, if you middle-click a taskbar icon (on my mouse, the scroll wheel doubles as the clickable middle button), you'll open a new instance of whatever application you've clicked on. And there's more: "If you hover over an icon, and multiple document pages are shown, middle-clicking on one of them will close that document.c Give Case's piece a once-over: If I could find useful new tips there, I'll bet you'll be able to uncover a few as well.
